AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillors Cain and Jones of Bloomfield Ward have requested:
(i)£940 for the purchase and installation of eight signs for Waterloo Road Shopping Area together with Waterloo Ward.
(ii)£1,000 to fund services to deliver diversionary activities for children and young adults in the South Neighbourhood area of Blackpool during half terms and school holidays throughout 2014.

Councillors Cox and Green of Squires Gate Ward have requested:
(i)£150 as a donation to provide youth diversionary activities during October half term on Louie Horrocks Park.
(ii)£5,398 to fund the purchase and installation of two Christmas Trees with led/festoon lighting and Christmas features and two power sockets from the Illuminations Division.

Councillor Riding and Smith of Talbot Ward have requested £2,500 for funding for a resident parking scheme on West Park Drive to include signage and lining, in relation to a Traffic Regulation Order.

Councillors Lee and O’Hara of Waterloo Ward have requested £940 for the purchase and installation of eight signs for Waterloo Road Shopping Area together with Bloomfield Ward.
